About Holbrook District

Canyon De Chelly
The elevation of the District ranges from approximately 4200 feet to almost 9000 feet resulting in some very diverse weather patterns within the district. The geography of the district includes national parks and national monuments, such as Petrified Forest, Painted Desert National Park, Canyon De Chelly National Monument, and the Hubbell Trading Post is a national historic place. It also includes areas such as Monument Valley, the Four Corners Monument, and Homolovi State Park north of Winslow.

There are Six Maintenance Sections in the district, which are: Holbrook, Winslow, Kayenta, Keams Canyon, Ganado, and Chambers. The most travelled route within the district is Interstate 40; the second most travelled is highway US160. There is one Construction Org in the district.

The major communities served by the employees of the Holbrook District include Holbrook, Winslow, Kayenta, Ganado, and Window Rock. We interact with Hopi Tribe and Navajo Nation, as well as the Apache Sitgreaves and Coconino National Forests in Coconino, Navajo, and Apache counties.
