About Flagstaff District

Red Rocks of Sedona

The Flagstaff District Office is located in the district's largest city of Flagstaff. You can find us at the intersection of Interstate 17 and Interstate 40. Flagstaff was founded in 1882 and today has a population of nearly 60,000. Adding to the diversity of Flagstaff is the elevation, ranging from 7,000 feet to over 12,000!

 

The Flagstaff District has approximately 3000 twelve foot lane miles to maintain including interstates, non-interstates, and frontage roads.

The average elevation of the district's state highways is just over 5,500 feet.

The lowest point on any route in the Flagstaff District is on Interstate 15 (milepost 1) at 1,721 feet.

The highest point on any route in the Flagstaff District is on State Route 67 (milepost 605) at 8,800 feet.
